2つある。1つ目は「自ら考え適切に行動する能力」だ。この能力は中高生時代の経験から培われた。教育環境の悪い田舎で育ち、将来を見据えて塾に通うことなく自ら方法を考えて勉強し、親に反対されながらも進路を決定し人生を切り開いてきた経験だ。この経験を活かし大学では足りないものを常に考え行動に移してきた。例えば、語学勉強のための留学や海外の文化を知るための一人旅などだ。この強みを生かすことで能動的に学び、任された仕事にプラスで必要なものを考え実行できると考える。2つ目は将棋部で培った「先を読む力」だ。将棋では相手の打ち方や現在の局面から数十手先の手を読む。この強みを貴社の業務で発揮できると考えている。例えば、資料作成を任せられた際に資料を使う人の状況を先読みし最適なものを作成できる。社内の人間関係でも相手の考えを読むことで、円滑な意思疎通を行うことができる。実際に塾講師や研究で役立っている。

I started soccer when I was in junior high school and continued to make efforts even though my team members made fun of my poor technique. The reason why this happened is that about 90% of the members had been playing soccer since when they were in elementary school. Regular member was always the same, so there was little opportunity for inexperienced members to play in games. I was frustrated as it so I set my goal to be a regular member in my last year. In order to compensate for the lack of experience, I asked experienced coaches and friends how to achieve the goal. In order to improve technique, I kept practicing by myself during recess of daily group training and continued an hour’s self-practice on every weekend for 3 years with my team members. As a result, I became only one regular member among the inexperienced teammates, and was chosen as a representative member of the city. From this experience, I strongly believe that challenging environment fits my self-driven personality and I can overcome many hardships with team members. These experiences will contribute to your business even in mentally and physically difficult situations.

素の自分を面接の場で出せるようにすることに気を付けた。また、自己紹介の段階でその面接におけるキャラが決まるため、自己紹介には細心の注意を払った。
